waiting with prayers..

not weary of wait
his wheat grain still not watered
farmer prays for rain

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Yes, not all farmers are that patient as I portrayed in this haiku, Jenn. And they can't wait forever either, can they? Glad you liked the haiku…

  2. Aren't we a bit primitive in our agriculture sector? Poor farmer!! Always depends on looking at the sky for rain. Reminds me of Lagaan. πŸ˜€

  3. Quite primitive in ways, in other ways more advanced. But a lot of farmers still do believe rains are better than artificial ways, Nanka πŸ™‚ One of my relatives is like that. He does use technology, yes.. but still, rain is always more sought.. πŸ™‚
