home is where my heart is
and with your heart is mine
as memories they beckon me
and my mind returns in time
to our silly fights and smiles
that came every passing day
when we ran to mum and dad
still bickering along the way
when we slept in the moonlight
that came through window pane
and grandpa read us fairy tales
and then read it all over again
to our childhood vacations
when we ran through the fields
breathing the wheat and rice
and admiring the harvest yield
to the last time I saw you
atthe airport with mum and dad
when I cried as I hugged you
I remembered the fun we’d had
now in this strange new world
each moment I wish I was home
for without dad, mum and you
I’m living each heartbeat alone
