obsessed with travel
my mind flies away often
seeking adventures

yet its heart lies here
in a chest of memories
it proudly calls home

One Single Impression , Sensational Haiku Wednesday

Β© Leo (21st August, 2011)

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. This is too good.. I know people who go out and spend endless hours in search of a place that will be as comfortable as their home… a futile exercise that : )

And Thanks Leo!! I have are right.. I wanted to use ‘Breath’ as a noun part of me.. and Breath is correct.. Brethe is not.. I have acknowledged on my page too..

  2. Once you understand where home truly is, then it’s a blessing to return there. You definitely get it Leo – bravo!

The previous poem – pain… oh my goodness. So dark, it made me shiver!

  3. Mind may travel to distance immeasurable but there will always be a place called home!
Short and sweet Leo…thanks for the couple of takes in my prompt…I could only smile … πŸ™‚
Missing everyone in my circle of blog-friends!

I dunno if I would have to hate the culprit of my long absence…’my obsession/passion with baking’ πŸ˜›

Could not decide if I will continue to write…but you know, blog world had been my second home for almost three years now… πŸ™‚

  4. Great “home” haiku, Leo! I’ve been leaving the linky open to accommodate our world-wide haiku neighbors, so it starts on Wednesday, and gets closed by sunday. Usually. Ok, I’m lazy and it has been whenever I remembered to do it πŸ˜‰ I’m going to start setting it to automatically end Sunday night at midnight (EST) from now on though. I’d still really like to see most folks post on Wednesday though! Have a super day…

    • Oh ok πŸ™‚ Sunday midnight EST suits fine. I get a li’l more time to think, and can combine the three haiku meme too πŸ˜€

  5. nice…have a bit of a wander lust in me as well…but it always great to rememebr where home really is…

thanks for the birthday wishes leo…
