Dead..

I feel dead
no inspiration
in this silence
filling dead
cells of mind
with a silence
unusual to it
an ink drop
from my quill
falls at my feet
mingle slowly
with another
lone clear one
that fell before
from my eyes
unable to see
or to breathe
mind travels
but imprisoned
feels my body
rooted to rot
in this silence
no inspiration
I feel dead

One Single Impression

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. I hear you, man… and I am sailing in that same boat…
But we must keep rowing that boat.. and I am certain we’ll find islands of inspiration 🙂

A very well expressed thought though..

  2. Its good, at times , to let the inspiration die.for she comes back, when least expected, from a direction which we never thought, existed. And her rebirth instills fresh hopes, warmer smiles , stronger wings to fly higher 🙂 So take up your quill, dip in that ink pot and let words flow .. New colors will fill the blank sheet, as your smile widens 🙂 Happy writing 🙂

    • It is good to let inspiration travel. Never to let her die, Adreamygal. Death is in essential feeling, a finality.. Rebirth may not be with us in this life, may not be with us in other lives either..

    • Yes, that’s a problem I think. You can’t embrace it or shake it off. And there is no middle option for it. Frustrating indeed, Antara!

  3. great words Leo. i get the feeling sometimes too and i do only one thing- go off to sleep and try to drown my worries in it. hope your thoughts are alive soon.
Happy Independence Day btw 🙂 🙂

    • Sleep helps. but not that often, Kirti. I hope I’m back to liveliness soon as well. Wish you a happy Independence Day too.. 🙂
