The form of poetry here is the Senryu. A senryu is a three line verse, originating in Japan, that deals with emotions rather than nature. It is similar to the haiku, and has a 5 – 7 – 5 syllabic format.

Too much to confess
I shall be broken; yet will
Honesty free me

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
Well said. There exist shackles beyond the ones we physically see. I liked the concept. 🙂
Oh, the physical shackles are absolutely nothing compared to the mental ones, Deboshree.
Leo.. don’t know.. but somewhere there’s somewhat a hidden connection in my post.. its a real co-incidence.. RS : )
Maybe a tad, Rameshji, nothing more. 🙂
Thanks for the lovely example… will try to think of one ~
Thanks and glad you felt mine worthy of an example Heaven 🙂
definitely. confessions can see you free 🙂
Oh, most certainly, Totomai.
Isn’t this the truth about confessions! So hard to make, but they are ultimately freeing.
Not always, but definitely freeing, Lola 🙂
Not all confessions release those deep burdens
True what you say, Christine 🙂
Confession can be a new start
Or the final end too, Birgitta..
Thank you…heartfelt meaningful words.

Thanks, Dani. I’ve not visited yours yet, but will give a shout out to you once I’m in 🙂
Well said, sometimes honesty is the key but we forget about it. Inspiring and thought-provoking.
Thanks for penning it down:)
It may be the key, but to a dead end or a new beginning, still needs to be seen, Clariice. Thanks!
that’s the thing about confessing the truth it comes with freedom! Great job Leo!
I’m not really sure of that now, Amanda. Not sure at all.
too much to confess.. ? to ? yeah it sets free….
Someone is Special
Its a general senryu, SiS. Not to anyone particular as such.
Hey! Leo 😉 still waters run deep huh!! LOL!! 😉
Oh sure, Nanka, and the waters of my thought are running deeper than I can at times get my hand in.
hope u heart is soon free ;0
Likewise, Critics.
As difficult as some confessions maybe … it is freeing … one just has to find a way to do it with faith and clarity. Good one, Leo!! 🙂
Finding a way is very tough too, Becca. Makes the confession all the more tougher I think.
Beautifully said,Leo.
Thank you, Premi.

Nope. Some just make u worse, Antara.

Its a generic one I guess, Dishilicious 🙂 Hence many can relate. Thanks!
How well I know the weight of too much to confess!
Likewise, MMT..
Once you’ve made your confession, just go with the flow, glide with the consequences.
Thank you very much, Rosie. I will do so.
