“Will he ever come back?”
She caressed my skin, as a tear slid down her eye. I was dead, nearly; a parting gift, unwanted. My half-sister was there when my seed was sown. She watched him plant me; not knowing he would walk away.
“Sleep, for the world won’t accept.”
The other day, I lived.

sends shivers
@Paulami: Yes I know..
certainly packed with a lot of emotion…unwanted is not a great feeling at all…
@Brian: Yes, not great.. but the feeling is forced on those unfortunate victims…
Very heavy 55. Sad and intriguing.

something very other worldly about this one, Leo… nicely written, albeit tad sad .. .
@Kavi: Maybe, but it all happens in this world to begin with. Thanks!

Sureindran – The Other Day
@Sureindran: Thanks! 🙂 Glad you liked it.
very intense… though i found it to be a bit too short as I am more used to a lengthy description! but very good!
ATB for BAT!

Like, I wish to write an entry for BAT the other day
but for some unknown reasons, I failed!
Is the submission over now?
@Amity: Yes, it is. You could have participated too 😛 Hmm. No matter, maybe next time. Thanks for liking the 55 fiction.
To be frank, I didn’t understand at all. 🙁 might be I’m dumb. 😥
@Nethra: Nah 🙂 I just went a little too deep for you I guess.
Being unwanted – few things could be worse.
A unique way of saying it Leo.
@Deboshree: Yes, very true! Thanks! 🙂
Wow. This was stupendously good. Very cleverly written, I must say. Awesome. 😀
@D2: Thanks! 🙂
Intensity at its best.
@Enchanta: Thanks!
It sounds sad and filled with emotions..
but somehow I couldnt see the picture..can you shed some light on this particular inspiration?
@Clariice: Yes, I know. Very deep from me this time. And I couldn’t find an image to ease the reader either. I thought this from two views…
1: An unborn child, gifted to a raped woman, the lover running away. The girl strokes her belly, as she thinks of him. The half sister can be another child nearby; and the woman asks the baby to sleep (a final sleep), for the world will not accept the baby in right sense.
2: A rose, given to a girl, on her break up day. She strokes the petals of the rose, from her garden, which he had planted. She tells herself to sleep, and consoles herself its for the best, for the world would not have accepted their relationship. The last line of course, is from the rose’s voice, so once plucked, the rose, once lived now is dead.
🙁 ..Went over my head ..miles away from me!
@Aativas: No issues 🙂 Not for everyone I guess. Thanks for stopping by.
I had to read it twice, to comprehend. Must say, bold subject, well expressed. Leaves a void at the end of the post..
ATB for Bataom-21
@Viyoma: Thanks! The void is natural, for it makes such a difference if it is not there! But what happens is cyclic, unfortunately!
Nice…the best story is when a person can derive his/her own meaning from it…
@Catabolism: Thanks! I think that is right too. 🙂
Deep certainly… raw emotion. can go with everything, the other day…
ATB
Though choice to make— wife or Peace of mind…
