Staying sane is sometimes so impossible. Struggling to stifle suffocating thoughts and actions, our sails are struck by stray pieces of glass in the strong wind. Strength to stay positive in the still chaos that simply follow us after that moment seems slow. Any stress simply softens our desire to swallow the sour pills that we take. Sorrow seems more satisfying than a smile, just like a stranger on the bus, and we slip into its pool, smarting from sudden sullen wounds. Striking off any hopes of survival, we become even suicidal. Shards of past seem to shine brighter than shimmering tomorrows. We sink so much into the strict depths of sorrow that we forget that special hand that can save us from Satanβs strong grip. Let us not let anyone steal the smiles we can share. Nothing is easy, but if life is about survival, then rather than be in the shadows of sorrow, we must be the sentinels of our smiles, guarding it from sinister strikes.

I like the idea a lot Leo. We need to take care of our own happiness. Point noted and much liked! π
And I am the first this time, am I? π

If laughter is the best medicine…then smile is the best antidote for any suffocating feeling… π
But how could one smile amidst the chaos and suicidal thoughts? Maybe I would smile about the courage of committing one…:(
@ Amity,
Yeah, amen to that first thought π
Don’t get the thoughts to turn suicidal then π and no, don’t smile at that courage either..!
