Overwhelmed…

Lost in this palace of knowledge,
I find myself overwhelmed by
The power of words to express
What emotions at times cannot;
Each word etched, a bookmark,
From their heartbeat to my own,
A touch of simplicity sparks life,
As characters and incidents rise,
Like a golden tailed phoenix,
From scattered ashes of doubts,
To breathe new hopes in pen;
To each word give a meditation,
Ponder little about the words,
Understand meanings behind,
Listen, they whisper to my soul.
A royal pilgrimage, I seek rebirth,
No destination or finish in sight,
I find myself overwhelmed by
The power of words expressed
In a palace of eternal knowledge.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

      Yeah, absolutely! 🙂 A good book always speaks to the reader’s imagination, bringing the words to life I think. Glad you liked it!

      Likewise here 🙂 I’d be in a far worse condition if I couldn’t release my emotions through words of verse!

      Yeah, they do 🙂 Very powerful are books, don’t know if they’re illusions though 😉
