Oh this silly sea..

Oh this silly sea,
Why it hurts me?
With it I do play,
Every single day;

Oh this silly sea,
Why it can’t see?
My palace it eats,
Before I complete;

Oh this silly sea,
Is it so hungry?
I’ll give some pies,
Yummy and nice;

Let it not eat sand,
I’ll feed with hand,
My palace let it be,
Oh you silly sea.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Awwww… that was really sweet… I love the quizzical look on the child’s face. There is no need for the supporting picture. I think the lines give a very vivid description 🙂 🙂

    • @ Chhavi,

      Yeah, no need for the image perhaps, but it was the inspiration! So put it along 😀 Glad you liked it.

  2. You bet!! If only it understood.. some day I hope it does 🙂 And then it will become the wise old tea…

    Lovely one, VR/Leo!!

    • @ Kavita,

      Glad you liked it K 🙂

      The day it does, I’ll call you and we can return to childhood days, build a castle together 😉 What say? 😀

  3. Sweet thoughts from a child, I like it 🙂
    How a child thinks – an inspiration for me to start writing pieces from another perspective..thanks!

    • @ Clariice,

      Yeah, Monday’s child gives that perspective for us in image 🙂 Today’s image was really inspiring for me too. Have fun writing!

  4. Wow …made me remember my childhood 😀

    • @ Scribbling Gal,

      Yeah, it reminded me of mine as well, so wrote 🙂

      Have checked out the post. Its very nice 😀

  5. Cute, sweet, all that the other comments have said, is true! What impressed me, though, is that I never even considered sand castles for this theme, and give you props for thinking outside the box. 🙂 Nice!

  6. So CUTE. 😀 Excuse the Caps. And I love the picture. The boy seems so very upset that the sea doesn’t like tummy pies more than the muddy castle he builds and rebuilds. 😀
