Leaving Half Way

Well, this isn’t the L post for A to Z that I had planned. Nor a post that I thought I would write this or any month. I’m always enthusiastic and passionate about my blogging and writing, and try to write as often as I can, daily if my muse is generous. I had even planned a May daily writing challenge to host and write for here at this blog. However, my physician is of opinion that the thing that most challenges me about summer is the heat. He’s advised me to retreat from the system as much as I can, lest I blow a fuse and end up hurting myself more. As much as I hate to do that, after giving it considerable thought for a while, I’ve decided to take his advice and this has resulted in this decision:

I’m going to be blogging only twice a week, i.e Saturday/Sunday and Wednesday. Two posts a week: the Saturday/Sunday poem for a meme combine; and Wednesday poem for Poets Rally or OneShot/memes. This is with effect from tonight, and so, sadly, I’ll be leaving the A to Z challenge and NaPoWriMo halfway as well.

My memes will go ahead as always, I’ve already scheduled the posts upto June last week. As will Acrostic Only, where I’m guest hosting till Amias feels better.

With two posts a week only, the May SUMMER SALAD CHALLENGE stands officially CANCELLED. I’m going to rest up till October/November, when I’ll be back for re-hosting the annual Z-A in 26 days.

On a happier note, I’m glad to introduce a good friend of mine, Sitara, to you my readers. She’s new to Blogsville, and has just started her journey. Please welcome her and encourage her if you can. She blogs at “Inkdrops in the Sky“.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
