One day it’ll end
It was meant to
I don’t know when
Or why it will end
But it will, so soon
It was meant to

Paths will fork
They’re meant to
Hearts might cry
Or they might fly
They’re meant to

Yet, I believe
Like I have always
Forks can merge
Like a train track
Parallel at least
To walk alongside
Holding our hands
Believing in once
Cherished friendship
Hope spurs me
Like it has always

Hope spurs me
Like it has always
As I see that day
To come so soon
Yet so unexpected
At the intersection
When it all ends
I’ll still have hope
That endless love
Awaits me still
More than today
Here in this world
No hate to tie me
Not a bond left
But my friendship
Yes, I do believe
Like I have always

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
