Accept It

Nothing is perfect
Accept the imperfections
Move on with it soon

Time takes its own path
Don’t expect all to go right
Accept and move on

I’m not a puppet
Not anymore, accept that
I’ve grown up father

If I am to fly
You cannot hold my wings still
Time to accept it

In depth of my heart
I’ll be your baby always
And that, I accept

Shared at Haiku Heights (#37 Puppet) and Haiku My Heart

Written as part of the April A to Z in 26 Days challenge, and 30 poems in 30 days, NaPoWriMo challenge.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
