Awaiting April

A mixed month
Heated March
Goes into past
Slow thoughts
Lost in worries
And fears many
Of tired mind
Injured body
All these strain
Into a crevice
Left there now
To be forgotten
As I await the
First day again
In a few hours
Month of Fools
Arrives to give
Fun and furore
Tricks to play
And to also be
Played upon me
Along with fun
Also arriving is
Inspiration; Ah!
Month of poetry
And challenges
Thirty poems
In thirty days
Is what I await
To answer that
Challenge to me
With eager heart
And eager mind
Her beauty I wait
Imaginative April…

April brings to blogsville, the A-Z challenge hosted by Lee Bird (poetry not compulsory here) and also NaPoWriMo, which I’m taking part this year. I don’t know how many poems will arrive in a day, maybe one or maybe two… I hope to complete both challenges in April. Oops! I seem to have ovewritten the feed when I updated a few of the earlier posts. Apologies to any inconvenience caused to my Blogger Dashboard followers..

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
