Reality Check #69

Life is not a walk in the park. Each turn in its journey always leads to an obstacle which can either make you or break you. If it breaks you, you drown with the anticipation of even more obstacles. Without hope, the fire that burns within you gets extinguished and you end up a shell. If it makes you, you realize for every dark night, there’s a brighter day and you move on. The fire would have flickered, but the flames would roar back to life again with you pouring an oil of hope.

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
