Drowning Limitations

If limitations
Not waving, but drowning; will
Life bloom? I wonder.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Oh how true leo…how can we live our lives to fullest if the progress is hindered by limitations..but sometimes i think limitations are for our own good…it instills discipline too..

  2. I think the image was a really good choice for the words that accompanied it. Reflects very tactfully yet very boldly what the emerging life stands for…question is did you pick the picture and then added the words? or did you write and then find a partner to go along?

    • thank u very much, Sidra.. yes, it does match the words very well doesn’t it? and I wrote the haiku first, then found the image. I very rarely do it the opposite way.. unless its a picture prompt πŸ˜‰

  3. Lovely haiku , and the pic also co-relates well ..True , limitation drown us most of times , but then life blooms best only when we are drowning and someone else holds our hand and makes us realize( or on other words teaches us to fly ) the freedom within our limitations , right ?

    • if the limitation allows another to hold your hand and teach you the way past it, yes, then life blooms ADG, bug without that hand life drowns, and without that hand, there are limitations… so better if the limitation itself drowns, don’t u think?

    • Well i agree , but then isn’t that this sort of escape ? I mean you just either wish for the hand to come your way or you want either the limitation itself to drown , that either ways doesn’t actually work nor should also ! Coz its only when you have limitations , you can really know the meaning and enjoy freedom , in true sense , which comes little late always πŸ™‚

  4. If limiting rules or circumstances act as a restriction, then you are definitely drowning and cannot come lively or be in full beauty and health to flourish.

That was a lovely thought provoking Haiku Leo and it does say a lot.
