Expectations, like
Eternal fires burn,
Their remains in
Ash-pit, cupped
By hands, passed
Through a grate
And reincarnated
No relieved breath
After resurfacing,
Fork-lifted from
Suffocating depth
Then hung to dry
By hands eager for
Us to relive past
Eager to guide us
To the future, yet
Awaken us from
Dreams to drown
Them in a boiler
Path expectations
Take is unknown
Yet in ink of blood
My nib recollects
The lush jeers of
Unmet expectations

thanks SiS.. glad u liked it…

That was a hard Wordle to be incorporated so well into a poem, specially as you were following another prompt as well. Expectations – the triumph of optimism over pessimism.
the other prompt just needed the letter, Vivin π but the wordle gave a challenge in itself. glad u liked the poem π
My reply disappeared! I said: that was a hard wordle to incorporate so well into a poem, specially a you were responding to other prompts as well. Expectations: a triumph of optimism.
erm, ur reply is right below this one, Vivin.. it came through fine! π

I like the optimism in this poem. That was hard to do with the words since many of them have negative connotations.
