What A Difference!

What difference
A day can make
In the fast paced
Life of apprentice
Where each day
New experiences
Teach life quickest
Leading to golden
Future’s pathway

What difference
A day can make
In the fast paced
Life of apprentice
Tricks of the trade
Learnt in a trice
Where hard work
No compromise
Earns the praise

In the field, tricks
If learnt right, can
Abet higher flight
Confidence soars
With that practice
In the fast paced
Life of apprentice
What difference
A day can make

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. I like your use of repetition to drive the poem on..it gave the sense of learning (beautiful picture too – did you write the poem before or after you saw the picture?) Jae

  2. One day.. oh I have found it matter so much.. in learning.. had been dealing with apprentices Leo actually .. but always felt to be one among them.. each day..matters for learning..

Thanks Leo , you have a way to put it..

  3. I liked how you used the image as your inspiration. A great and humbling reminder that we are all life’s apprentices and have much to learn!
