Z to A in 26 Days – Nov 3rd – X words!

Parchment xanthic
In depth perused
Pirate treasure map
For eyes bemused
Great rewards wait
Perhaps coins of old
Precious stones or
A chest of shiny gold
Be xenial toward it
In hunger or thirst
Follow the directions
You’ll get there first

I follow it very close
Yes, X-marks-the-spot
No time to pass off
I begin to dig the lot
Thump! There it is
An old wooden chest
The treasure! Bliss!
Open the box! Oh no!
It’s full of xeric tofu
I can’t believe, for this
I gave my priceless Xu

Taking up the Z to A in 26 Days Challenge? The details are HERE, and the challenge enters Round 3 with X today, but you are welcome to start now and proceed to further letters. I’m in India, so the challenge begins at 12AM IST, and goes on till the farthest timezone, in Anchorage (Alaska, USA, GMT -08 HRS), turns to the next day, so all time zones can share! All participants can share their X themed post links here in the comments section. I’ll comment informing of the closing, once the day is over in all time zones. If your comment doesn’t come immediately, it’d be because you need to have a prior approved comment at the blog. I’ll moderate them as soon as I can, and you should have no problems after that. Happy Challenge to you all. Have an inspired November!

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
