Leo,
Absolutely beautiful and meaningful lines complimented by a perfect picture.
What a brilliant use of the prompt words. Together they talk of hope for the belittled minds.
😀 Good job!

Your post inspires me to try a Magpie Tale! Thank you 🙂 You create an amazing overall concept combining the prompt with haiku. Found the resolution in the second stanza to be very uplifting.

“Absolved, light beckons.” I loved this, Leo! Also, “A right to be heard.” Brings up so many things in just few words. Made me think for a while…
thanks Judd 🙂 glad you liked the haiku.. and the thought yielding lines as well 😀
Thought provoking haikus. Some much said in so few words.
thanks very much, Kristen 🙂
Explanation through reasoning is sought when conflicts in the mind seem to mock. 🙁
Once these are justified the suspicions die down and it is time to move on towards brighter opportunities. 🙂
Hope my reasoning of those astounding lines are doing justice. 🙂
nice reasoning, Nanku 🙂 true what u say.. once justified, suspicions do die down 😀
How gratifying to have your thoughts recognized after having been ridiculed.
exactly, EG Wow! 🙂 thank u.. glad you liked it!
This requires a bit of thinking through.
I think I agree with the sentiment if I understand it correctly.
Just need to try and place it in your psyche.
Unless it is not meant to be personal.
It is definitely a 3-pipe problem (Conan Doyle), these days updated to a 3-patch problem :-).
🙂 its not meant to be personal, though it could be too, Joco.. glad you liked the haikus! 🙂
So happy to read both the Haikus.. very well thought out..Leo.. God bless!
thanks R’ji 🙂 glad you liked it.. God bless you too!
A double portion…. Thanks for this.
Have a nice day, Boonie
thanks very much for stopping by too, Boonie! 🙂
It’s always good when light beckons! Such good sense…
yeah.. true Lyn 🙂 good sense!
How comforting the light is as the darkness of doubt fades, and we escape once more!
I love these words and the image – very beautiful!
Thank you.
very true what u say, Sue Fox 🙂 glad you liked the poem.. the image is by Willow! 🙂
Not being heard and being misinterpreted are both disempowering. “Absolved, light beckons” is a wonderful image.
thanks so much, Meri 🙂 glad you liked the image and imagery! thanks for stoppin by! 😀
love the visual introduction to your deeply thought out haikus…
compelling, thought provoking. oh how we all desire to be seen, heard, without judgement.
great resolution.
enter in the light!
yeah, judgment is ok.. I think partial judgement is what we don’t like 🙂 glad you loved the the visual effect, Rebecca! 🙂
Beautiful piece of photography with beautiful words. The pic does justice to the words! 🙂
Hope you would like my post too – When love calls

A right to be heard and light beckons – your haikus are very meaningful to me.
thanks Marilyn 🙂 that comment is quite meaningful to me as well 🙂
true.. its always a happy time when ur thoughts are given recognition than suspicion!
yes.. it is a happy time when that happens, for sure, RJW!
a piece of heaven! perfect light.
🙂 glad u liked it, Trisha!
go to the light…i like how you set the tone and bring some resolution with the second yet leave us room to breath our own…nice magpie.
🙂 thanks very much, Brian! 🙂
It could happen! 🙂 Nice!
It most certainly could, Tumblewords 😉
Well done. Draws one to reflection. Wishing you well! and thank you for your kind words!
yeah.. thank u very much, Cathy.. for ur kind words too 🙂
You’ve got an entire book/movie plot there in 6 lines. Excellent.
🙂 thanks Jeannie 😀 glad you liked the haikus 🙂
Leo,
This is quite amazing. I think that it takes quite a talent to use a prompt and to create a haiku that gives a voice to those whose weight and value is not recognized in the world. That is what I have taken away from this beautiful haiku of yours. It is a gift to the marginalized of this world. Lovely. I am on a trip to Santa Fe right now or I would have gotten to it sooner.
xo,
noelle
thanks Noelle 🙂 glad you could take something back from this haiku of mine 😀 yes, marginalism is rampant these days, even we do it with our thoughts 😉 It’s ok, have a nice trip.. I always leave a link back to my contributions 🙂
it is good to part the ways so that even the smallest of voices can be heard… lovely haiku my heart capture
yes.. it can be heard for sure, Miss Pie!
lovely haikus!
thanks CM Jackson 🙂
very thought provoking and well done.
thanks so much, Tami..
You sure said a lot in so little – and said it quite well.
Thanks for sharing. I’m duly impressed.
thanks for reading and liking it, Rabbit 🙂 glad u stopped by!
Yes, all voices have a right to be heard.
hi Nima, thanks for dropping by.. yes. u r right… all voices do have that right!
I read it once and I thought about it, and then I read it again. It still stays with me, so much so that I have memorized it.
hi Angie.. u memorized it? 😮 wow.. that’s a deep praise.. thanks very much! 😀
Very thought provoking Leo, wonderful !
thanks Cheryl 🙂
Very Hopeful voice…
‘Light beckons’ are so powerful words…
Brilliant take on the prompt…:):)
Absurd thinking should be totally promoted sometimes…:)
yeah.. amen to that thought, ET! 😀
The haikus are very nice…loved reading them.. 🙂
thanks, Sumit 🙂 glad u liked the read 😀
Is this what I think it is?? 😀 😀
Am I #100?? 😉 I am seeking impartial judgement…and I have the right to be heard!!! 🙂
no.. ur more like 90th 😛 but u’ll get ur judgement 😉
Only 90 eh?? That simply won’t do…. 😛
Is there a power cut there?? That’s why the window is open I suppose…. 😉
lol 😀 maybe that’s why for sure 😉
Two powerful haiku’s that can stand on their own and yet together make a very powerful impact. Basho would be proud for that is how he intended haiku to be written.
nice take on the magpie
cheers,
joanny

hi Joanny.. thanks very much.. glad you liked the combo and both haikus on their own too 🙂
Everyone wishes for a balanced world, no prejudices, but…sad to say that’s just a figment of my imagination now… 🙁
I am beginning to like WordPress…I very much like your blog’s look now…am loving it! 😉
Could you help? Don’t say no! 😛
yeah.. lots of people want that.. but still, thoughts remain unheard.. or heard partially Amity..
good that you’re liking WordPress, but you stick to Blogger 😛 u’ve a HUGE fanbase there.!
A lovely take on this week’s prompt. A double Haiku to please even more!
thanks Lena 🙂
I really like your final line. How absolution and light beckoning appear to be melding. Very well-considered. Good one!
