I wonder whatβs out there
In the world past the sky
A cheesy blue moon and
Many twinkling stars shy
Are there other Earths?
Is there another little me?
Like a mirror in heaven
Like twins for me to see
Can I take teddy there?
And with him forever stay
To watch the sun rising
Each and every new day
Can I take some bread?
Thereβs that cheesy moon
I could be there by myself
And not return very soon

A beautiful and simple verse.Reflects a child’s innocence, his questioning mind and excitement. Very well captured in the poem.
thank you very much, Nanka π glad u liked the innocence, and the questioning mind of his that I’ve portrayed π
Completely charming … as charming as the child’s voice that it expresses. Nice work, Leo!
thanks very much, Jamie π glad u liked it.. yeah.. the voice needs that charm I feel too π
I really like this and you have portrayed a child’s thinking patterns so well – many years ago when we were shifting house I spoke to my wee son about the move and he asked if there would be a bed in the new house – your poem captures thoughts like these that children have. Excellent.
thanks a lot, Marilyn π glad u liked the post.. yeah, children have a good imagination..!
That’s a childs imagination right there.

thank you Teresa.. have fun in the moon.. take your laptop too, so you can blog from there π hehe..!
Fun poem – but while I’m here, may I ask that you think about removing the word ‘forever’ in the third vers? It would help the flow of rhythm, I think… Hope you don’t mind my mentioning it? I’d like people to do they same for me, when reading my poems – it’d help me see things in a new light, therefore learn more…
hey, Jinksy.. π no problems, its good that u mentioned it too.. I like to hear what my readers feel as well, and learn..
will consider what u said for sure, and think of removing it.. glad u let me know..! π
Well done…and the poem “flows” just fine, imoh π
thank u very much, Tracy π glad u liked it..!
