Swimming

Stepping in to the
Waves; my mind now
Imbibe its calm aura
My strokes are quick
Made with little precision
In me, faith resides
Novice athlete still tries
Giving all with enjoyment

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Let it be ACrostic or Haiku or Poem or Special form of Poem, or Fiction… You are the best, Leo…

    –Someone Is Special–

  2. I loved the poem. It reminded me so much of myself when learning to swim at a late age. There all about me were little children like fish and I kept myself afloat by sheer willpower and probably faith, managing not to sink!
