Reality Check 50 – Impressions

You may have an impression of yourself, but trying to impress that on a friend is not right. For its your impression, not theirs. Let them have their impression of you; who knows, that impression maybe truer than what you have of yourself. For no mirror is better than the eyes of a true friend.

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Oh, true……I need that one true friend who could tell me her right impression about me…Another worthy thoughts etched through your Reality Check…:)

  2. I know, Its an old saying…and its good to have such friends, where silence is most comfortable, And impressions are what you make of yourself…but I think neither the mirror, nor the best of friends know "what" you are….And nobody will ever know — When seen in totality, I myself am not clear of the mix I am made of :)Good poems here, Vinay…Long time, but I am reading regularly :)wishes, devika

  3. @Devika,hi chechy 😀 long time indeed.. yes, we understand ourselves best..but i think if we need to reflect, our eyes look better in the eyes of a loved one than a mirror! 🙂
