Reality Check 48 – Secrets

One can formulate many theories as to why a person would choose to suffocate themselves with secrets, but the fact is that the world sometimes gives cruel experiences to us that each of us has our own treasured secrets. We can’t expect others to budge from their stand and share their secrets if we can’t even whisper out ours. If our understanding was nimble, we’d just move on from trying to push the doors of their heart open and hold their hand to lend them solace in their sadness. After all, a small flicker of hope can light up those dark dungeons of despair.

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. So very, very true…:)A thin thread of hope could really make a big difference…And if one can't share secrets, maybe for some reasons we don't know, we should respect them…Lending solace when they are hurting is sure wise enough an action, but once out from the quagmire of deep solitude and sadness, we can start sharing happy moments with them again, some fun and many smiles… :)Great post on reality check!
