April 29th – Yearn

Sometimes you know,
When I am so upset,
I do yearn for the past.
Some times of smiles,
That I cannot forget,
How long that did last.

Sweet memories I have,
Of all those yesterdays,
When not a tear had I.
Now none can capture,
These joys so elusive,
Each smile seems a lie.

Sometimes you know,
I doubt all this world,
Who now do I trust?
Questions are so many,
Answers so very few,
Find the keys I must.

Sometimes I wonder,
Sometimes I yearn,
No questions in life.
Yet deep I do know,
I can’t find the joys,
If there was no strife.

Now only I shall yearn,
Pray God for strength,
As life does move on.
Yearn for the future,
Enjoy all the present,
The past, it has gone.

Again, Shilpa has given me this topic.

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
