Nights of silent tears
Elusive love of dears
Gone are days when
Love showed the way
Every kissed wound dried
Caring hearts have died
Tragic life never lied
Emaciated is this mind
Denied love from kind
Escape seems far away
Lucid darkness of day
Dreams and hopes stay
Ever true, always erect
Reality though does say
Starved aura of neglect
Very good take on the prompt.I can visualise the love and respect behind this acrostic.
With my three children scattered around,(one in Spain) sometimes I recall when we were a family at home. I enjoyed your poem and in a way can relate to it.Yvonne:
beautiful!
quite painful…cant imagine this fate for people who have loved us, and made us who we are…the write was very nicely done..
It is tragic and sad when we neglect our elders. They should certainly be cherished, loved, and remembered. Thanks for writing this acrostic Leo.
aaah!! sad one…Wow I love the template 🙂
You said it so well Leo…:)Let us be kind to elders, like grannies….like… :PHave a beautiful Sunday!
An 'aura of neglect'. I often sing in a choir t entertain the elderly and I've seen this aura for myself.
Dear Vinu, Good After Noon! It's a lovely and timely thought,Vinu.Every Sunday one channel does a programme on the inamtes of old age homes. One celebrity interviews them and it is so touching to hear the bitter experiences. We can do our share, yaar!By small and simple kind gestures,By soft and kind words,By making them feel we love them,We will be there when they need us,Giving protection and care,To live a meaningful life,We should never forget that,What we enjoy is the benefitsOf the sacrifices of our ancestors!Wishing you a wonderful Sunday, Sasneham, Anu
