A Wait…

Barren lands
Scorched by
Fiery glances
Lie desolate
Calm breeze
Hesitates to
Touch their
Arid lips now

Soothing dew
Stays away
Hesitates to
Ease the pain
Nourish not
Flourish not
Nothing grows
Lost, a rose

Prayers now
For His grace
Let no longer
He hesitate
Life depends
Gifts He to us
Wait continues
For joyous hues

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. What a trying situation and time and with much hesitation we await for a hope, though it would only be a very thin thread of hope….My heart goes to those who are sadly affected. May God be not selfish enough to pour upon us His bountiful blessings to keep His people away from famine…:)A sad symphony but beautiful rendered Leo!
