Memories of love
May gift you more pain than joy
More tears than laughter
Yet they can never be fogged
For we still love them
That love lives in memories
We never can kill
Memories of love
Always do remain intact
When the fog does lift
Even when torn by hatred
We see them so clear
Live in memories they will
Love we cannot kill

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.

  1. Thats true.. memories can keep even ephemeral emotions intact in the recess of mind.. and then love is something .. that even a dash of it can last for eternity..

  2. the durability of love is well expressed in these verses, love which continues in memory long after reality fades. Which is why Alzheimers is so devasting because it steals memory!

  3. Hi Leo, those love memories are so impressed that though the fog may come they will not be deposed. Fogged yes, blurry but still they remain. Excellent!..
