Scars

We think we know
The ones we love
Yet somehow find
Reflection new now
A raindrop on leaf
They were before
One of a kind person
You used to adore

Now we are lost
A new face and mind
A teardrop in ocean
Is just unable to find
In the ocean of emotions
Love now slowly sinks
Betrayal, sorrow floating
We are unable to think

Will they return back?
To who they were before
Will they heal our wounds?
Or just hurt us some more.
Only indecision now exists
No trust we seem to see
Wounds from whom we love
Are scars on the heart deep

Poetry & writing to me are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
