To The Stars

On a cloudy night, I gazed at the sky,
I could not see any stars but one,
Shining through a cloud, upon me
I smiled, for I knew it was her,
I was sure she smiled back for me to see.

Every night, at that same spot,
She comes to sing along with the wind,
Above the meadow, near the river bend,
Where we last said those words, good bye,
Where my world, that day did end.

When she cries, I see the rain,
Her laughter, I hear through the breeze,
An echo in my heart, sweet memories,
She was the one for me; I am yet find another,
Darling, can’t you come back please?

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
