Painful Addicted Memories

Presumption was
Always my mistake

Immortalized in
Never ending love
I felt not regret nor
Sorrow neither

Albeit she was afar
Distance I felt was
Driving our passion

Impromptu were our thoughts
Close were our hearts
Treasured was every moment
Intricate emotions not
Veiled, Heartbeat
Echoing across blue skies

Perhaps it was Fate
Always jealous of
Intimacy between us, once
Nestled us afar, who
Intervened again

Supreme Lord in heaven
Against her will
Did take her away
Drowning our relation

I remember even now, her
Charismatic face, her
Tiny hands clutching mine
I saw her leave me forever

Vivid painful memories I
Endure with a painted smile

Poetry & writing are to me, a breath of fresh air in a life that is sometimes covered by the smoke of sorrow or self doubt. They also become the sweets I share to celebrate when life offers me a reason to. But most of all, they are to me, my life. For each word I write is a piece of my heart, a thought that just had to find its way into the world.
