Once there lived two blossoms,
In the meadow, by the lake,
Side by side, they did grow up,
A beautiful couple, they did make.
They were best of friends, the two,
They loved each other a lot,
In the wind, they’d sway together,
The sun they together sought.
Fate, jealous of their relation,
Broke their friendship very soon,
Took one blossom from its home,
Promising sun, stars and the moon
Carried the other blossom,
Planted it in a land far away,
Laughed at the other’s misery,
Even now, till this very day.
A blossom pines for its friend,
To be again soon by its side,
Even though they are miles apart,
Their friendship lives with pride.
Passing breeze, does message take,
Reflections they see in the cloud,
In raindrops, each others tears,
Awaiting word of their beloved
Though lost without each other,
They fight with hope to survive,
Joint always by their friendship,
They now keep each other alive.
